The event will begin at the State House in Nurse's Hall, where MCNP and MANA legislative leaders will discuss the goals of HB 2009 / SB 1079 An Act Improving the Quality of Health Care and Reducing Costs and highlight strategies to communicate with legislators about this important legislation. Attendees are encouraged to schedule visits with their legislators, and MCNP representatives will be available for mentored visits.
The second part of the program will take place at the Hampshire House where a town-hall style meeting will held over dinner. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders who employ nurse practitioners and discuss how HB 2009/SB 1079 will impact the practice landscape for APNs in Massachusetts.
Contact hours are pending and participants may choose to attend one or both parts of the program.
The cost for attending the program at the Hampshire House is $40.00 for MCNP members, $50.00 for non-members, with a reduced rate of $35.00 for students. Light dinner is included in the registration fee.
