The MCNP Legislative Committee and PAC

The Legislative Committee was created to address legislative issues that involve access, cost and quality of health care. All health policy and legislation that affect nurse practitioner scope of practice in Massachusetts as well as issues that affect the educational requirements of nurse practitioners, fall within the sphere of the legislative committee.

This committee serves to monitor proposed changes to legislation and statue pertaining to nurse practitioner practice in Massachusetts. We coordinate grassroots activities in support of, or against, important legislation in Massachusetts.

The work of the legislative committee is closely linked to that of the MCNP Political Action Committee (PAC).

The PAC serves to create guidelines for donating to candidates, to develop fundraising ideas, and to strategize, with the help of our lobbyists and legislative committee, on how best to raise the visibility of NP issues to legislators.

Please visit our PAC website at http://www.mcnppac.org/ for details about our current legilsative agenda and status of our sponsored and supported legislation.

If you have an alert, question, or want to become more involved with either the Legislative Committee or PAC, please contact either of our Legislative Co-Chairs:
