Health Policy & Legislative Advocacy
Founded in May 2005, the purpose of the MCNP-PAC is to address legislative issues that involve access, cost and quality
of health care, legislation that affects nurse practitioner scope of practice in Massachusetts, and issues that affect the
educational requirements of nurse practitioners.
The PAC serves to create guidelines for donating to candidates, to develop fundraising ideas, and to strategize, with
the help of our lobbyists and legislative committee, on how best to raise the visibility of NP issues to legislators.
We remain active in many aspects of policy and welcome MCNP members to be active in issues that affect our profession. The
PAC has ongoing activities throughout the year involving grassroots legislative activities, fundraising events and media
relations. We welcome all levels of involvement. Feel free to contact us for more information
on how to be part of the PAC or the MCNP Legislative Committee.

The MCNP-PAC relies on the ongoing support of membership donations to continue lobbying pertinent issues. Please consider

need to accomplish our legislative goals. You can also contribute by donating an item to be raffled at one of our events.
Examples of items we are looking for include tickets to sporting events, weekend vacations, art, jewelry, gift certificates,
and assorted baskets of items and services.
If you would like to make a monetary donation to the MCNP-PAC, checks must include the name and address of the donor and
be made payable to:
