Annual MCNP Legislative Breakfast

The Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners cordially invites you to attend our Annual Spring Health Policy Breakfast Event on Wednesday April 14, 2010, between 8:00am and 11:30am at the Hampshire House in Boston. Please join us as we discuss Health Care Payment Reform: The Future of Health Care.

The purpose of the program will be to educate nurse practitioners on the current health care payment reform efforts and how those changes will influence our practice. We will focus on Pay for Performance and Medical Homes as the new payment models proposed for providers in the state. Optional mentored visits to the State House to meet with your Legislators will immediately follow the event.*

Our keynote speaker this year will be Representative Mary Grant. Representative Grant has been on the forefront of the payment reform efforts as a member of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing. As a clinical nurse specialist, she brings a unique perspective to the legislature and she will be able to share with us all of the work that has gone into restructuring the Massachusetts health care payment system.

Cost of the program is $35.00 for MCNP members, $45.00 for non-members, with a reduced rate of $25.00 for students. Buffet breakfast is included and 3.0 contact hours will be awarded. Parking is not included in the registration fee.
